Geert Braaksma joins Supervisory Board at Eurekite

Eurekite, experts in flexible ceramic fibers, added Geert Braaksma to their Supervisory Board. He is happy to be on board: “Eurekite is a very interesting and promising company that has developed a groundbreaking technology and products in the field of flexible ceramics. I foresee a great future and am honored to be part of them as member of the Supervisory Board.”

VERY ACTIVE IN TWENTE

Braaksma studied electrical engineering and most of his career has been in international business. He has lead the European automotive sensors business of Texas Instruments and later Sensata Technologies for several years and his last position was VP and General Manager of Sensata Technologies’ heavy vehicle and offroad sensor business. He is very active in the region of Twente and has served as president of the Twente Board for economic development. Currently Braaksma is Managing Director of Dutch Ventus B.V., a startup company that is developing windmill technologies. He is also involved as advisor and investor in several startups, such as Student Power.

The Eurekite team welcomes Geert, as he is a very valuable addition to the management team of the company. Eurekite announces relocation, industrializing Flexiramics® production

In the wake of securing €4.2 million in a follow-on investment round, Eurekite announces their relocation to a standalone, state-of-the-art facility, accommodating a market development production line. The advanced materials spin-off from the University of Twente is moving their laboratory and offices across Kennispark Twente to develop the world’s first industrial Flexiramics® pilot production facility. This facility will enable the production of larger quantities of Flexiramics®, while simultaneously enhancing Eurekite’s capacity to tailor their product’s performance to specific customer needs. Eurekite closed an investment round of €4.2 million

Eurekite closed an investment round of €4.2 million, enabling us to scale-up the production capacity of our breakthrough Flexiramics® materials.

We are delighted to announce that we have reached this crucial milestone. This funding will improve our ability to deliver Flexiramics technology to our customers who can integrate it in their everyday devices and processes, bringing many benefits to society.

The new follow-on investment round of € 4.2 million comprises a substantial loan from RVO (Netherlands Enterprise Agency), the equipment lease facility from the Twente-based High Tech Fund, and an equity investment provided by a group of regional investors, including Lumana Invest, Oost NL through Innovation Fund Twente and Demcon. Between 2015 and 2020, Cottonwood Technology Fund provided seed and follow-up investments amounting to a total of € 2.75 million.

UT-spin-off Eurekite has been awarded with a grant by the European commision.

UT-spin-off Eurekite has been awarded with the seal of excellence and the SME instrument phase 1 grant by the European commission. This achievement shows the high level of quality of Eurekite’s technology, as it is one of the most competitive grants with only less than 10% of the applications receiving it. The grant is meant to scale up production for the Flexiramics® technology for the use in heat dissipation.

Eurekite wins best start-up Twente 2018.

Eurekite has won Best Start-Up of Twente at the Twentse Business competition 2018 on the 16th of November 2018. This competition was hosted by Tom’s Business Blow Out in the football stadium Grolsch Veste.
